The dashboard is the central hub of your business. It's where all your data lives and where you get real time insights into how your business is performing. You need to make sure that your dashboard is easy to navigate, intuitive and user friendly. KPIs you can use to measure the success of a dashboard are:
Usage Ranking - Your dashboard system should have an admin console that provides usage statistics for each dashboard such as how many times views in the last month. If you calculate the average number of view across all your dashboard, you want to see an effective one ranking above average.
Open Time - The dashboard usage log data should also show the average time it takes to render the dashboard. Look for below average times for successful dashboards.
User Feedback - You could email your users and ask them to rate a series of dashboards from 1 to 10 and sort them by average rating.
What should you do about underperforming dashboards? If speed is an issue, look to break them up into smaller, faster dashboards. For user-driven poor rankings, ask for improvements. If usage levels are at zero, deprecate that dashboard.
It is recommended to reply on color experts when choosing the pallette for your dashboard. These are all considered Flat UI colors. Each is a combination of 4 main colors to choose from. If additional colors are needed, choose shades of the these by altering the saturation level by 20%.

Information About Balanced Scorecards vs Dashboards - How do you compare a balanced scorecard versus a dashboard? Balanced scorecards can be thought of as a type of dashboard. The difference is a scorecard is defined kind of view of corporate performance, covering most, if not all of a company's functional areas as they feed up to overall company objectives.
