What Are Dynamic Reports?
Dynamic reports are ones that are generated automatically based on updated data and can change based on the recipient's role and responsibilities. are used to create interactive charts that show data in real time. They're useful for monitoring trends over time, tracking changes in performance, and comparing results across different groups.
The best thing about dynamic reports is that they allow you to see what's happening right now, rather than having to wait until the end of the month to get a snapshot of your business. You can use them to track sales, customer satisfaction, inventory levels, or anything else that affects your bottom line.
How to Make a Dynamic Report
Step 1. Create a report template with fields and data sources
To use this tool, you'll need to first create a report template. A report template is simply a set of fields and data sources that you can use to build any type of report. Once you've created a template, you can then add fields and data sources to it.
Step 2. Add the fields and data sources you need
The next step is to define what information you want to include in the report. You'll need to decide which fields you want to use and where you want them located. Once you've defined the fields, you'll be able to add them to the report. To add a field, click the Add Field button at the top of the page. Fields can be added to the Report Data Source section, the Chart Data Source section, or both.
Step 3. Choose which fields will appear in the report
The next step is choosing which fields will be included in the chart. To do this, click on the "Fields" tab at the top of the page. You'll see a dropdown menu where you can choose from several options. For example, if you want to include sales revenue, click on the "Sales Revenue" option. If you want to compare two dates, select "Date Range." Once you've finished creating your report, click the "Generate Report" button to view the results. You'll find the report in the folder where you saved it.
Step 4. Preview the report
If you're not sure what to put into your report, use the preview feature to see how it will appear when it's published.
Step 5. Publish it!
Once you've generated your report, click "Publish" to make it available to others.
