What to Track in a Jira Reporting Dashboard?
Number of Issues with Tasks by Rep
You can use the Issue Navigator to create issues with tasks. This feature lets you add multiple tasks to one issue. You can assign a task to a user, group, project, milestone, or custom field. Once assigned, users can view the task details and add comments. If necessary, you can change the status of the task from open to closed. Then monitor whether the number of issued with a task is increasing or decreasing with certain employees. Easily spot blockages by seeing the number of issues that increase in any given state.
Keep Track of Milestones
The milestone feature allows you to set goals for your project. You can create milestones at different points throughout the development process, such as before coding begins, after coding ends, and after testing. Once you've created a milestone, you can add tasks to it. Tasks are assigned to specific people and can be completed by anyone who's working on the project. Set alerts for when milestones are missed. Determine future performance with cycle and lead times for your product, version, or sprint.
Count Bugs Assigned Team Members
You can also use JIRA to assign bugs to team members. This feature lets you assign a bug to one or more people so that they can work on it together. Once the bug is fixed, the user who originally reported it can mark it as resolved. How many bugs is each team number working on? Are they evenly distributed?
For example, if you want to see which bugs were fixed last month, you can use the built-in report feature to generate a graph showing the total number of bugs closed each month. You can also create charts showing the status of bugs at different points in time. If you want to know what tasks are assigned to specific people, you can use the project management tools to generate a chart showing who is working on what.
Sprint Burndown
Stay on track of sprint goals and improve retrospectives with data scrum teams can put to use sprint over sprint. Determine overcommittment and excessive scope creep and understand completed work in each sprint.
Sprint Velocity
Track work from sprint to sprint to helps teams determine the velocity and better estimate the work a team realistically achieve in future sprints.
Issue Resolution Efficiency
Track project management KPIs such as Average Age of Issues, Time Since Issues Report, Created vs Resolved Issues, User Workloads, Version Workloads
