9 Types of Dashboards for ServiceNow Users
1. Process Dashboard
This type of dashboard displays data about a company's entire workflow. It includes metrics such as customer satisfaction scores, employee performance, and sales numbers. It lets you see how well your business is performing at any given moment. It shows you where you stand compared to your goals, and gives you a clear picture of what needs to happen next. The best thing about a process dashboard is that it helps you stay focused on what matters most. It's easy to tell when things aren't running smoothly. You might notice that your sales team isn't meeting its quota, or that your customer service representatives aren't answering calls as quickly as they used to. And if you want to know whether your customer service department is keeping customers happy, you can use the information to improve training programs.
2. Performance Dashboard
This type focuses on individual departments within a company. It provides insight into how well each department is doing, and allows managers to make adjustments where needed. For the Service Department, track the metrics that are a part of your Customer Service Performance Measurement (CSPM) program. This should include at least one metric that measures the number of calls received per day, one that tracks the average length of each call, and one that shows how often customers are able to reach an agent within five minutes.
3. Trend Dashboard
This type shows trends in data over time. It helps managers identify patterns and predict future events. Workbench charts provide end-to-end transparency into KPI trends, breakdowns, and influencing factors.
4. Service Request Dashboard
This type reflect the success of each step in the service request lifecycle. For example, if you're tracking the number of requests submitted, the number of completed requests, and the average response time, then you should include those three metrics in your dashboard. Next, determine what information users want to see in the dashboard. Do they want to know how many requests were submitted? How many were completed? What was the average response time? Or perhaps they want to know how long it took to resolve the most recent request.
5. Event Dashboard
This type displays data related to an event, such as a new product launch or a major system outage. It is designed to provide an easy to understand view into an organization's infrastructure health status.
6. Employee Activity Dashboard
This type tracks activity across multiple users, such as when employees log in and out of work. This dashboard also provides valuable insight into other employee details, such as status, years of experience, and age, and breaks down absentee rates and salaries by department.
7. Incident Management Dashboard
An incident management dashboard allows managers to monitor incidents and resolve them quickly. It provides a visual representation of the current state of the business and helps identify trends so that issues can be addressed before they become serious. 8. Asset Tracking Dashboard
